2022

Tiki Team Round Up

What a year it’s been for our Tiki team riders!

Here are some 2022 highlights & what the team are looking forward to in 2023

Andrew 'Cotty' Cotton

2022 Highlight:

- 2022 highlight was definitely the Nazare Tow Challenge, getting 3rd in the overall individual rankings and 3rd in the team with Will Skuden.

What's in store for 2023?

- Competing in the next WSL Comp

- Chasing more big swells!

- Keeping warm in my Tiki Zepha

Greg Norman

2022 Highlights:

- 2022’s biggest surf highlight for me was my 5 year old Sonny saying he wanted to learn to surf. Such a great summer of clean small surf and now he’s away, trimming down the line on his 5’8.

- It’s been quality sharing sessions with @kokooksmedia, Aym has so much passion and we got some pretty cool shots.

- Finally it was really enjoyable to get back to a few comps. BLU, Smooth Movers, but making both Finals in the Jesus this year was a great moment.

What's in store for 2023?

- Next year I hope for more of the same. Aym has got some good ideas. My little family want to spend as much time down the beach as possible. Sonny is mad keen to get back in the water when it warms up a little. I aim to keep fit and keep enjoying riding different boards, with maybe a few comps thrown in.

- And looking forward to another great year with Tiki!

2022 Highlights:

- Getting back into competition after Covid and upping the training leading up to the Worlds.

- Summer evenings at the beach with family and friends and sunset training sessions on the estuary on my ocean ski.

- Spending time with like minded paddle surfing females, especially during the Kayak World's in Bude.

- Being made British Canoeing #ShePaddles ambassador.

- Waveski Worlds 3rd place Ladies Open and Senior Champion in California.

- Exploring some of the Californian coast on a road trip of a lifetime.

- And of course being part of Tiki team, having the support of Tiki has given me that extra push!

What's in store for 2023?

- Looking forward to UK/Europe surf trips with friends.

- Being involved in female paddle surf development and getting more people interested and involved in paddle surfing.

- Entering as many competitions as possible and keeping the training going. A bit less intense than 2022 but still focused and have few things to work on in order to improve my skill level. But mainly having fun in the water and getting out in the waves as much as possible!

2022 Highlights:

- Best highlight from 2022 was going to Australia for 6 weeks which was a trip of a lifetime, spending time with Harry De Roth and all the crew out there!

- Another highlight for me was getting sponsored by Tiki, as well as Rydbrand UK and Olero Surfboards!

What's in store for 2023?

- I’m looking forward to hopefully go traveling, not exactly sure where yet but definitely somewhere where it's warm and has great waves.
