Welcome to the range of Tiki CLX Surfboards.
In our pursuit of the lightest, fastest and strongest surfboard technology, we have blended old school know-how with the latest cutting edge materials.
Our CLX, Carbon Lightweight Epoxy range, uses a conventional approach to build the boards: a blank is blown, split and glued up along a stringer. It is then machine shaped, hand finished and laminated by hand; two fibreglass layers on top and a one on the bottom.
What sets the CLX range apart is the materials that are used: EPS foam is lighter, less water absorbing and more eco-friendly than conventional Polyurethane foam. The Epoxy resin is stronger than Polyester resin making the boards lighter and stronger. It also has environmental benefits - releasing up to 75% less VOC’s in the production process. The addition of the Carbon strip makes these boards stronger still - and more importantly, stiffer and more responsive.
The combination of a lighter, stiffer board, means the Tiki CLX boards float better, catch more waves, surf quicker and more responsively. Best all, they last longer: good for the environment and good for your wallet!
